Treating Insomnia and Sleep Health
Deep, restorative sleep is the most natural thing in the world. When chronic insomnia intrudes, it overwhelms every aspect of your life, causing serious physical and mental health issues. It can destroy relationships and interfere with employment. It can even lead to the onset of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
I provide insomnia and sleep health therapy to help you identify how much sleep your body really needs (hint* 8 hours a night for everyone is a myth). Together, we will work with your natural sleep rhythms and your lifestyle to help you start sleeping soundly again. Treating Trauma
Trauma forces you into a challenging, confusing world. As a highly sensitive person, you find it hard to trust others and relationships are difficult. You feel like an outsider who misses out on all of the things others take for granted.
I provide trauma therapy to address the unwanted thoughts and difficult emotions that continue to intrude on your day to day experiences. Together, we will work through the trauma so that you can heal from your past and start being fully present for your future. Treating Chronic Pain and Illness
When you suffer from pain day after day, it can feel like you need to escape your body in order to find relief. You might be irritable or moody. You might suffer from sleepless nights as you toss and turn, trying to find a comfortable position.
Pain can leave you in a constant state of feeling stress and overwhelmed, which can actually make the pain worse. It’s hard to think. Decision making becomes more difficult. You feel like you’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to help.
I provide therapy to address the pain and grief that often comes with chronic pain and illness. Together, we will break the stress and isolation cycle that contributes to increased inflammation and pain. My clients learn the tools they need to help manage their pain and illness so that they can get back to having joy-filled moments in their life again.
